Adult allowance is brought into
practice in many countries of the world. In most of the developed countries of
the world this kind of allowance is provided by the government or the adults
are taken care of by the government. But in our country the adults are mostly
dependent on their sons and daughters. As they do not have the ability to work
and earn, they are sometimes behaved roughly by their issues. They have to pass
the last days of their life depending on others which is a very painful
experience for them. At that age they are not properly valued and treated by
their issues. This allowance will help the adults to spend the last days of
their life peacefully and happily. This noble programme is also taken in our
country by the government. A budget, regarding the allowance of the adults was
passed in the fiscal year 1997-98. A decision was finalized in the cabinet
meeting on 20th October, 1997, that every old aged people will get an amount
per month which can be drawn once after every three months or once at the end
of a year. This programme is really a praise-worthy one that brings back smile
on the face of the old people who are not properly valued and treated before.
But the amount given by the government is not enough for them to live. So the
government as well as the social organizations, should work together to ensure
better living for the adults.

উপর নির্ভরশীল। যেহেতু তাদের কাজ করার ক্ষমতা থাকে না এবং রোজগার করতে পারে না, তাই
তারা মাঝে মধ্যেই তাদের সন্তানাদির দ্বারা লাঞ্ছিত হয়। তাদের জীবনের শেষ দিনগুলো অন্যের
উপর নির্ভরশীল হয়ে বাঁচতে হয় যা তাদের জন্য এক পীড়াদায়ক অভিজ্ঞতা। এই বয়সে তারা

এই সিদ্ধান্ত গৃহীত হয় যে, প্রত্যেক বৃদ্ধ ব্যক্তি মাসিক হারে ভাতা পাবে যা প্রতি
তিন মাস অন্তর বা বছর শেষে এককালীন উত্তোলন করা যাবে। এই কর্মসূচি সত্যিই প্রশংসনীয়
যা অমূল্যায়িত বৃদ্ধদের মুখের হাসি ফিরিয়ে এনেছে। কিন্তু সরকারের প্রদেয় টাকা এদের
বাঁচার জন্য যথেষ্ট নয়। তাই সরকার ও অন্যান্য সামাজিক সংগঠনকে একযোগে কাজ করতে হবে
বয়স্কদের ভালোভাবে বেঁচে থাকা নিশ্চিত করার জন্য ।
