Introduction: The cow is a domestic
animal. It is found everywhere in the world.
সূচনাঃ গরু একটি গৃহপালিত পশু। এটি পৃথিবীর
সর্বত্র পাওয়া যায়।
Description: The cow has four legs, two
eyes, two ears, two horns, a long tail and a long head. Its body is covered with
short fur. It has teeth only on the lower jaw. Its hoofs are divided in the
middle.
বর্ণনাঃ গরুর চারটি পা, দুটি চোখ, দুটি কান,
দুটি শিং, একটি লম্বা লেজ এবং একটি বড় মাথা আছে। তার দেহ ছোট ছোট লোমে ঢাকা। গরুর শুধু
নিচের পাটিতে দাঁত আছে। এর খুর মাঝামাঝি বিভক্ত।
Colour and size: There are cows of many
sizes and colours. Some are large and some are small in size. The colours of
some cows are black, some are white, some are red and some are of mixed colour.
রং ও আকারঃ বিভিন্ন আকার ও রঙের গরু আছে।
আকারে কতগুলো বড় এবং কতগুলো ছোট। কিছু কালো, কিছু সাদা, কিছু লাল এবং কিছু নানা বর্ণের।
Food: The cow lives on grass. It also
eats straw, bran, oilcake etc.
খাদ্যঃ গরু ঘাস খেয়ে জীবনধারণ করে। গরু খড়,
পাতা, খৈল প্রভৃতি খায়।
Nature: The cow is a very gentle
animal. It gives birth to one calf at a time. It eats all day long and chews at the end of the night.
স্বভাবঃ গরু শান্ত প্রকৃতির প্রাণী। একবারে
ইহা একটি বাছুর প্রসব করে। এটি সারাদিন খায় ও রাতে জাবর কাটে।
Usefulness: The cow is a very useful
animal. It gives us milk. Cowdung is a good manure. Shoes, bags, belts, etc.
are made from its skin. Ghee, butter, curd and sweet are made from milk. Button
and comb are made from its bones and horns. The ox draws the curt and the
plough.
উপকারিতাঃ গরু খুব উপকারী প্রাণী। ইহা আমাদের
দুধ দেয়। গোবর খুব ভালো সার। গরুর চামড়া থেকে জুতা, ব্যাগ, বেল্ট ইত্যাদি তৈরি হয়।
দুধ থেকে ঘি, মাখন, দই ও মিষ্টি তৈরি হয়। এর হাড় ও শিং থেকে বোতাম ও চিরুনি তৈরি হয়।
ষাঁড় গাড়ি ও লাঙল টানে।

us. It is our wealth. We should take care of it.
