Introduction: COVID-19 is the name of a
disease caused by coronavirus. It is an infectious disease. It was first
identified in Wuhan, China in December 2019.
সূচনাঃ কোভিড-১৯ হলো করোনাভাইরাস দ্বরা সৃষ্ট
রোগের নাম। এটি একটি সংক্রামক রোগ। এটি ২০১৯ সালের ডিসেম্বর মাসে চীনের উহানে প্রথম
শনাক্ত হয়।
Symptoms: The common symptoms of
COVID-19 are fever, cough, fatigue, breathing problems, and loss of taste and
smell. In a severe stage, it may cause death. But in most cases symptoms are
mild.
লক্ষণঃ কোভিড-১৯ এর সাধারণ লক্ষণগুলো হচ্ছে
জ্বর, কাশি, অবসাদ, শ্বাসকষ্ট, এবং স্বাদ ও ঘ্রাণ না পাওয়া। তীব্র পর্যায়ে এটি মৃত্যুও
ঘটাতে পারে। কিন্তু অধিকাংশ ক্ষেত্রেই মৃদু উপসর্গ দেখা যায়।
How Spreads: The virus primarily
spreads among people in close contact with the affected people. The affected
person produces small droplets while coughing, sneezing, and talking. These
droplets spread COVID-19 among others.
যেভাবে ছড়ায়ঃ আক্রান্ত ব্যক্তির সাথে ঘনিষ্ঠ
সংস্পর্শে থাকা ব্যক্তিদের মাঝেই প্রাথমিকভাবে এই ভাইরাস ছড়ায়। আক্রান্ত ব্যক্তি হাঁচি,
কাশি ও কথা বলার সময় ক্ষুদ্র ক্ষুদ্র কণা উৎপন্ন করে। এই কণাই অন্যদের মাঝে কোভিড-১৯
ছড়ায়।
Prevention: Washing hands, wearing
masks, and maintaining social distancing are recommended to prevent infection.
প্রতিরোধঃ সংক্রমণ ঠেকাতে হাত ধোয়া, মাস্ক
পরা এবং সামাজিক দূরুত্ব বজায় রাখার পরামর্শ দেওয়া হয়।
Conclusion: Vaccines have been invented
against this disease. So we hope that COVID-19 will vanish soon and people of
the world will come back to a normal life.
