প্রিয় ভিউয়ারস, আশা করি ভালো আছেন। আমিও আল্লাহর রহমতে ভালো আছি। আজকের ব্লগে ‘Phrases’ এর অন্যতম প্রকার “Adjective Phrase” নিয়ে বিস্তারিত আলোচনা শেয়ার করবো। আশা করি আপনারা উপকৃত হবেন। তাহলে শুরু করা যাক।
Adverbial Phrase এর পরিচয় –
Adverbial Phrase এর সংজ্ঞাঃ কোনো Phrase
বা শব্দসমষ্টি যখন Adverb এর কাজ করে তখন তাকে Adverbial Phrase বলে। যেমন – Maha
behaved in a rude manner এ বাক্যে ‘in a rude manner’ এ Phrase টি ‘behaved ‘finite
verb টি কীভাবে নিস্পন্ন হলো নির্দেশ করে Adverb এর কাজ করছে। কাজেই ‘in a rude
manner’ একটি Adverbial Phrase বা Adverb Phrase.
Adverbial Phrase এর গঠন –
⇘ দুই বা ততোধিক ‘Adverb’ and দ্বারা যুক্ত
হয়ে Adverbial Phrase গঠিত হয় (Adverb + and + Adverb)। যেমন – Few and far
between, now and then, off and on, often and often, over and above, out and
out, again and again, by and by, far and near, far and wide, once and again,
over and over, through and through, to and fro, here and there, right and left ইত্যাদি।
⇘ Every এর সাথে সময় জ্ঞাপক Noun যোগ করে
Adverbial Phrase গঠিত হয়। যেমন – Every evening, every morning, every month,
every year ইত্যাদি।
⇘ যে Phrase দ্বারা স্থান বুঝায়, সেটি
Adverbial Phrase। যেমন – On the spot, on the way, in the river, in the street,
to a distant place, to a foreign land, in the field ইত্যাদি।
⇘ যে Phrase দ্বারা সময় নির্দেশ করে সেটি
Adverbial Phrase। যেমন – Once upon a time, in the past, all day long, all the
year round, throughout the year, in those days, before long, at this very
moment, on the spur of the moment, all on a sudden, in on time, without any
delay, in former time, dead of night, early in the morning, at evening, of
time, at the time, at all times, in the long run, at the eleventh hour, on the eve
of, out of date, at an early date ইত্যাদি।
⇘ যে Phrase দ্বারা Manner বুঝায় সেটি Adverbial
Phrase হয়। যেমন – with great care, with ardent spirit, with great devotion, with
great interest, with great sincerity, with great eagerness, in a swift manner,
in a quick manner, in polite way, in an easy way, in an unwise, in a decent
way, in a rude manner, at a great speed, in full swing, at any cost, with great
violence, in a rough way. ইত্যাদি।
⇘ যে Phrase দ্বারা উদ্দেশ্য/কারণ/ফলাফল বুঝায়
তা Adverbial Phrase। যেমন – He went to see the fair. He ran to catch the train.
He shed tears to see the sufferings of the poor. He works hard to prosper in
life. He reads more to make a good result. Maha sold her hair to buy a gift ইত্যাদি।
⇘ Nominative Absolute সহ বাক্যের অসম্পূর্ণ
অংশ Adverbial Phrase হয়। যেমন – The sun having set, they returned home.
