Introduction: Dengue fever is a viral fever. This virus is transmitted through mosquito bites. Aedes mosquitoes are mainly responsible for this disease.

ভূমিকাঃ ডেঙ্গু জ্বর হচ্ছে ভাইরাস বাহিত জ্বর। এই ভাইরাস মশার কামড়ের মাধ্যমে সংক্রমিত হয়। এই রোগের জন্য এডিস মশাই প্রধানত দায়ী।

Symptoms: The symptoms are high fever, severe headache, vomiting, muscle and joint pain, skin rash, etc. In a few cases, this disease may turn severe and may cause death.

লক্ষণঃ লক্ষণসমূহ হলো প্রচন্ড জ্বর, তীব্র মাথাব্যথা, বমি হওয়া, পেশী ও গিটে ব্যথা, চামড়ায় লাল লাল ফুসকুড়ি ইত্যাদি। কিছু ক্ষেত্রে এই রোগ মারাত্মক হয় এবং মৃত্যুও ঘটাতে পারে।

Treatment: Doctors suggest paracetamol for fever and pain. Taking a rest and drinking a lot of liquid is also important.

চিকিৎসাঃ চিকিৎসকগণ জ্বর ও ব্যথার জন্য প্যারাসিটামল সেবনের পরামর্শ দেন। বিশ্রাম নেওয়া এবং প্রচুর তরল পান করাও গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

Prevention: Aedes mosquitoes generally lay eggs on clean and standing water. So we should throw away standing water from bowls, pots, flower vases, etc. We also can use mosquito spray around our house.

প্রতিরোধঃ এডিস মশা সাধারণত পরিষ্কার ও বদ্ধ পানিতে ডিম পাড়ে। কাজেই আমাদের উচিৎ বাটি, পট, ফুলদানি ইত্যাদি থেকে জমানো পানি ফেলে দেওয়া। আমরা আমাদের বাড়ির চারিপার্শ্বে মশার স্প্রে ছিটাতে পারি।
