Empty Vessels Sound Much: Socrates remarked that a man remains
learned till he feels an ardent attraction for education. When he thinks of himself as extraordinary, illiteracy covers him. His remark copes with this
famous proverb. In fact, a man of little learning boasts of himself. Learning
is a valuable thing. Education and knowledge have created this civilization. But
a little learning is a dangerous thing. Before death, Newton remarked that he
was like a child gathering pebbles on the seashore, while the vast ocean of
truth lay unexplained before him. This is the realization of a perfectly learned
man. True education teaches modesty. A truly learned man never shows himself
exaggeratedly. On the other hand, persons of little learning behave
differently. They are not aware of the value of themselves. They imagine
themselves to be great. They do not care about anybody. Shallow persons show
themselves as all-rounders. They act as if they knew everything. The effect of
this propaganda is obviously harmful. A quack leads the patient to death. A
half-trained mechanic may cause great damage to his machines and even he may
lose his own life. Thus shallow persons cause great harm to themselves and society
through their limited and incomplete knowledge.

অংশ অনাবিষ্কৃত রয়ে গেছে। এটাই একজন সত্যিকারের শিক্ষিত লোকের উপলব্ধি। সত্যিকারের
শিক্ষা বিনয় শেখায়। একজন সত্যিকারের শিক্ষিত লোক কখনো নিজেকে বড় বলে প্রচার করে না।
অপরপক্ষে, কম শিক্ষিতরা অন্যরকম আচরণ করে। তারা নিজেদের মূল্য বুঝতে পারে না। তারা
নিজেদের বড় বলে কল্পনা করে। তারা কাউকেই পরোয়া করে না। এ ধরনের অসার মানুষেরা নিজেদের
সর্বেসর্বা কল্পনা করে। তারা এমন ভাব করে যেন তারা সব জানে। এই মিথ্যা প্রচারণার ফলাফল
ভয়াবহ। একজন হাতুড়ে ডাক্তার রোগীকে মৃত্যুর দিকে ঠেলে দেয়। একজন অদক্ষ কর্মী তার যন্ত্রপাতির
বিপর্যয় ঘটাতে পারে এমনকি নিজের মৃত্যুও ঘটাতে পারে। সুতরাং কম ও অসম্পূর্ণ জ্ঞানবিশিষ্ট
অসার লোকেরা তাদের সীমিত ও অসম্পূর্ণ জ্ঞানের কারণে নিজেদের ও সমাজের জন্য খুবই ক্ষতির
কারণ হয়ে দাঁড়ায়।
