প্রিয় শিক্ষার্থীবন্ধুরা, আশা করি ভালো আছেন। আমিও আল্লাহর রহমতে ভালো আছি। গত ব্লগে ‘Transformation of Sentence’ নিয়ে বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করেছি। আজকের ব্লগে “How to Change From Complex into Compound Sentence বা কীভাবে Complex বাক্য থেকে Compound বাক্যে পরিবর্তন করা যায়” তা নিয়ে বিস্তারিত আলোচনা শেয়ার করবো। আশা করি আপনারা উপকৃত হবেন। তাহলে শুরু করা যাক।
Complex থেকে Compound এ পরিবর্তনের নিয়ম
–
Rule 1: Since/as/when যুক্ত Complex
sentence কে Compound sentence করার নিয়ম –
গঠনপ্রণালীঃ Since/as/when উঠে যায় +
Clause দুটির মাঝে and বসে + আর বাকী অংশ অপরিবর্তীত বসে। যেমন –
Complex: Since the old man was weak, he
could not go to the market.
Compound: The old man was weak and he
could not go to the market.
Rule 2: Though/although যুক্ত Complex
sentence কে Compound sentence করার নিয়ম –
গঠনপ্রণালীঃ Though/although উঠে যায় + কমা
(,) এর পরিবর্তে but বসে + আর কোনো পরিবর্তন হয় না। যেমন –
Complex: Though he tried to pray, he
could not get rid of the curse.
Compound: He tried to pray but he could
not get rid of the curse.
Rule 3: Relative pronoun যুক্ত Complex
sentence কে Compound sentence করার নিয়ম –
গঠনপ্রণালীঃ Relative pronoun এর পরিবর্তে
and বসে + প্রথম বাক্যের Object টি Subject হিসেবে বসে + বাকী অংশ অপরিবর্তিত থাকে।
যেমন –
Complex: The writer took a cabin that
was small.
Compound: The writer took a cabin and
it was small.
Rule 4: if যুক্ত Complex sentence কে
Compound sentence করার নিয়ম –
গঠনপ্রণালীঃ if থেকে verb এর পূর্ব পর্যন্ত
উঠে যায় + বাক্যটি Negative হলে কমা (,) এর স্থলে or বসে এবং Affirmative হলে কমা
(,) এর স্থলে and বসে + বাকী অংশ অপরিবর্তিত থাকে। যেমন –
Complex: If you do not move, you will
die.
Compound: Move or you will die.
Complex: If you run fast, you can win
the prize.
Compound: Run fast and you can win the
prize.
