 A Rainy Day Short Composition

A rainy day is dull and gloomy. The sky remains cloudy. The sun is not seen for days rainy together. It rains all day long. No one can go out. We face difficulties in performing our duty. A rainy day occurs in the rainy season.

The rainy season comprises two months of the Bangla Calendar. These are Ashar and Sraban. On a rainy day, people are confined to their houses. Men cannot go out to work. Schools remain closed. Attendance in the office is poor. People go out only to do urgent work. They carry umbrellas. Cattle look helpless in their sheds. Poor people suffer much during this time in the villages roads get muddy and slippery. Sometimes the sun is not visible. Rain pauses for a while and starts again.

A rainy day has a harmful effect on the poor. But for the rich, it is a day of joy. The poor and the hand of mouth people suffer the most. They cannot work. They sit idle in their damp houses. His oven does not burn. He goes without food. The rich people can enjoy delicious food. On the other hand, a day labourer finds no employment. In a town, a man can use a rickshaw to go out. The rich men go out by car. In a village, roads go underwater in places. So people are to walk through water. Men walk cautiously on muddy and slippery roads. A rainy day is uninteresting no doubt. But it has its beauty and attraction. To poets, a rainy day has a special interest.
