It was late at night and a storm was brewing. The place was completely empty when I got out to the bus. I wanted to go to my friend’s village, Homna that was about kilometers away from the spot. I went there to attend the marriage ceremony of friend’s sister. So, on the previous day of the function, I started for his house. Eventually, I fell in a great danger. As I never went to his village, I felt endless anxiety what to do. It was drizzling and my clothes were getting wet. I was at a loss and roaming here and there. Suddenly a ghostly story came to my mind and it made me more frightened. I was running through cropland in search of proper shelter. Fortunately, I heard two people talking inside a small house made of straw. The stayed there to guard their crops against stealing. I was somewhat relieved and entered into the room. I begged for shelter. They took pity on me. They gave me a shirt and a lungi to wear on. The storm continued about 15 minutes. Then a calm and peaceful environment prevailed there. It is interesting that the two people were of the same village I wanted to go. Then taking a lantern, one of them took me to the village safely. My friend and his parents were puzzled finding me in such a condition. I will never forget this sad event.
