Paragraph on A Street Accident
Yesterday I witnessed a
street accident near New Market. Two boys were riding on a bicycle. A motor car
coming from behind hit the bicycle and came over them. The people present there
raised hues and cried. The car was at full speed and left the place at once. We
shouted, ran to the spot, and saw the dreadful scene. One of the boys had his
arm fractured and the other had a deep cut on the head. We hurriedly took them
to the P. G. Hospital in a car. But alas! One boy died on the way. I ran to
their guardians and informed them of the accident. On hearing the news they
burst into tears. I could not stand there any longer. It was a tragic scene. I
was shocked so much that I cannot forget it even now.
I had a friend named
Sakib. He was in class 8 like me. He went to school with his father but he
returned home alone. One day he was returning from school. On the way, there
was a busy road. He had to cross this road. He saw a bus coming at full speed.
Sakib thought that he would be able to cross the road before the bus arrived,
but he could not. The driver of the bus did his best to save him but failed.
Sakib was run over and lay in a pool of blood. He was dead. Some of his friends
also were returning home. They saw the accident and were shocked. They were
very sorry.

Last month, I was going to Madrasah. My madrasah is situated at Dhanmondi in Dhaka. Due to the traffic signal, all passengers stopped near the science laboratory. Suddenly, a terrible accident occurred in front of my eyes. There was an over-the-ridge under construction. One of the slabs of the over-bridge fell on a car. The car was fully smashed. One of the passengers of the car died on the spot and another was seriously injured. My rickshaw was just behind it. Allah saved me. People were running dastardly. Police started to do their duty. The death of the man was very pathetic. In fact, it is a common mishap in Bangladesh. We should be very careful and cautious to stop it immediately. The co-operation of people from all walks of life is necessary for this perspective obviously.

Yesterday I had witness a very shocking
street accident. It thoroughly shook me with horror. I just stood before a shop
at Green Road. A long line of cars, baby taxis, tempos, motor scooters, rickshaws
and other vehicular traffic were playing towards the north, and a similar line
of them were plying towards the south. A jeep was coming up at top speed from
the south and I waited till it ran off past me. Just at that moment a rickshaw ahead
of me was hit by the jeep and the driver was thrown down under its wheels. All
this happened in an instant. I rushed to the spot and shuddered back from the
sight. It was nothing but a mutilated human body with smashed skull in a pool
of blood. The unfortunate rickshaw-driver died on the spot. I retraced my steps
unwittingly as I could not bear the ghastly sight. A large crowd gathered there
immediately. I was wholly upset. I me back home with the macabre scene haunting
my mind.
বাংলা অনুবাদ : গতকাল আমি একটি মর্মান্তিক সড়ক দুর্ঘটনা প্রত্যক্ষ করেছি। এতে আমি আতংকগ্রস্ত হয়ে পড়েছিলাম। আমি গ্রীন রোডের একটি দোকানের সামনে দাঁড়িয়েছিলাম। উত্তর দিক থেকে কার, বেবী ট্যাক্সি, টেম্পো, মটোর স্কুটার, রিকশা এবং অন্যান্য যানবাহনের একটি লাইন উত্তরমুখী এবং অনুরূপ একটি লাইন দক্ষিণমুখী ছিল। দক্ষিণ দিক থেকে খুব দ্রুত একটি জীপ গাড়ি আসছিল এবং আমাকে গাড়িটি অতিক্রম করা পর্যন্ত অপেক্ষা করছিলাম। ঠিক সেই সময় জীপ গাড়িটি একটি রিকশাকে ধাক্কা দিল এবং রিকশাচালক ঢাকার নিচে পিস্ট হয়ে গেল। পুরো ঘটনাটি এক নিমিষে ঘটে গেল। আমি দৌড়ে সেই স্থানে গেলাম এবং হতভম্ব হয়ে পড়লাম। সেটি একটি চূর্ণবিচূর্ণ মাথার খুলির থেতলানো রক্তাক্ত মানবদেহ ছাড়া আর কিছুই ছিল না। হতভাগা রিকশাচালকটি তৎক্ষণাৎ মারা গেল। এই পরিস্থিতি সহ্য করতে না পেরে অজ্ঞাতসারে পিছনের দিকে চলে এলাম। সেখানে শীঘ্রই প্রচুর ভিড় জমে গেল। আমি বিপর্যস্ত হয়ে পড়লাম। এই ভয়ংকর দৃশ্য মনে নিয়ে বাসায় ফিরলাম।
