Paragraph On A Journey by Bus I Made
During
the last winter vacation I with some of my friends made a journey by bus from
Dhaka to Chattogram. We went there to attend the marriage ceremony of my
friend's sister. On the fixed day, we reached Saidabad Bus Stand and got into
the bus. Fortunately I got my seat beside the window. After a few minutes, the
bus began to move on. I kept looking outside through the window. When the bus
left the Kanchpur Bridge, it was passing through the green field. Dew drops on
green grasses were glittering like pearls. Trees and houses seemed to run
behind. I saw the farmers working in the field. Cattle were grazing here and
there. The bus stopped at a few big stations. We bought chanachur, bananas,
magazines etc. from the hawkers. When the bus left Feni, I saw the hills of
Chattogram. On the right I saw the vast sheet of water of the Bay of Bengal. At
last the bus reached Chattogram at 3:00 pm. My friend received us cordially. It
was most pleasant journey in my life. I enjoyed it so much that the memory of
the journey will remain ever fresh in my heart.
বাংলা অনুবাদ : গত শীতকালীন ছুটিতে আমি এবং আমার কিছু বন্ধু ঢাকা থেকে চট্টগ্রামে একটি বাস ভ্রমণ করেছিলাম। আমরা আমার বন্ধুর বোনের বিয়েতে যোগ দিতে সেখানে গিয়েছিলাম। নির্ধারিত দিনে আমরা সায়েদাবাদ বাস স্ট্যান্ডে পৌঁছলাম এবং বাসে উঠলাম, ভাগ্যক্রমে জানালার পাশে আমার আসন পেলাম। কয়েক মিনিট পর বাসটি চলতে শুরু করল। জানালা দিয়ে আমি বাইরে তাকালাম। যখন বাসটি কাঁচপুর ব্রিজ ছেড়ে গেল তখন এটি সবুজ মাঠের পাশ দিয়ে যাচ্ছিল। সবুজ ঘাসের উপর শিশির বিন্দুগুলো মুক্তোর ন্যায় চকচক করছিল। গাছপালা এবং বাড়িঘরগুলোকে মনে হলো যেন পেছনের দিকে দৌড়াচ্ছে। আমি কৃষকদের মাঠে কাজ করতে দেখলাম। গবাদি পশুগুলো এখানে সেখানে চরছিল। কিছু বড় স্টেশনে বাসটি থামল। আমরা হকার থেকে চানাচুর, কলা, ম্যাগাজিন ইত্যাদি ক্রয় করলাম। বাসটি ফেনী ছাড়ার পর আমি চট্টগ্রামের পাহাড়গুলো দেখতে পেলাম। ডানদিকে আমি বঙ্গোপসাগরের বিশাল জলরাশি দেখতে পেলাম। অবশেষে বিকেল ৩টায় বাসটি চট্টগ্রামে পৌছল। আমার বন্ধু আমাদের সাদরে অভ্যর্থনা জানাল। এটি ছিল আমার জীবনের সবচেয়ে আনন্দদায়ক ভ্রমণ। আমি এটি এতোই উপভোগ করেছিলাম যে, এর স্মৃতি আমার মনে চির-সজীব হয়ে থাকবে।
